About the 2018 Race

Solo Offshore Racing Club (SORC) present the 2nd edition of SORC Round the Rock Race.

This Cat 2 (World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations)  race is designed by solo sailors for solo sailors. For Corinthian sailors who want to test their skills and endurance in a substantial offshore race. A race that only requires a week's leave  to complete but still offers the excitement and challenge of nights at sea combined with the unpredictable nature of North Atlantic weather.

Yellow Brick Tracking will be utilised to ensure detailed tracking of the race.

Open to any IRC rated monohull, MOCRA rated multihull, or Class boats racing under their class rules. Skippers will need to have substantial short handed offshore experience.

The SORC Round the Rock Race is an approved qualifier for the solo divisions in both the AZAB 2019 and the OSTAR 2020 races.
